The Diplo wall light is an organic, sculptural, and poetic 3D-printed luminaire that will bring a warm and sophisticated atmosphere to your interior space.

The two bidirectional PLA lampshades, made from scallop shells, diffuse a natural, comforting halo conducive to plays of shadow.

This wall lamp is inspired by the natural and organic forms of the marine world.

Its lines evoke both the "brain coral" (Diploria labyrintiformis) and the algae painted by Matisse.

Matériaux & coloris

  • PLA made from corn and wheat starch and recycled organic or mineral residues.
  • The two removable lampshades are made from PLA based on recycled scallop shells from the re-use sector of catering in Normandy.

The central base is available in 5 colours:

  • Green: PLA based on beets, minerals and pigments.
  • Terracotta: PLA based on recycled crushed bricks.
  • Black: PLA based on recycled crushed slate.
  • Beige: PLA based on recycled mussel shells.
  • Brown: PLA based on coffee grounds.

As this is a biomaterial wall lamp, it is sensitive to heat.

Inspiration

Diplo puise son inspiration dans les formes organiques du monde marin.

Ses reliefs évoquent le cerveau corail (Diploria labyrinthiformis), dont les sillons naturels dessinent un motif répétitif et sculptural. Ses lignes rappellent également les algues représentées dans les œuvres d'Henri Matisse, artiste profondément marqué par les paysages méditerranéens de la Côte d'Azur.
