Brigitte is a table lamp that offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the retro, sensual charm of 80s/90s aesthetics, through the iconic tortoiseshell pattern.
It draws inspiration from a familiar imagery: the interiors of the 80s and 90s, corduroy, "crapaud" armchairs, fringed lamps, and memories of family meals in rooms hazed with cigarette smoke, bathed in a warm, muted light.
At the heart of its design, the tortoiseshell pattern gives it a feline, graphic character. Originally envisioned in cellulose acetate, it was ultimately entirely reinterpreted through 3D printing to remain consistent with the studio's manufacturing approach.
After numerous experiments, a specific process made it possible to recreate this speckled, translucent effect directly within the material. When Brigitte is turned on, the light passes through the pattern and reveals its nuances, creating a warm and enveloping atmosphere.
Its hexagonal silhouette and compact proportions allow it to find its place on a console, side table, bookshelf, or nightstand. When off, Brigitte asserts its graphic character; when on, the material transforms and reveals all its depth.
Entirely 3D printed in Marseille, Brigitte is made from PLA, a 100% plant-based bioplastic enriched with organic and mineral residues. It is presented here in its signature finish: recycled mussel shells and slate. Other material and color compositions can be created upon request.
The very nature of the materials used may result in slight variations in color and texture, making each piece unique.
