Soliflore printed in 3D with PLA (a biomaterial based on corn and/or wheat starch) and recycled crushed slates which gives it its black coloring. The corn or wheat starch used to create the PLA coils comes from the recovery of waste from existing crops for the food industry. The slates come from old slate quarries in Angers which are now closed.
This dark-coloured collection echoes women who want to be mothers but for whom it becomes a real marathon, strewn with difficulties, medicalisation, disillusionment... Its double texture evokes duality: underneath, what we hide, what hurts us, what dents us versus above, what we show, what we let be seen, smooth, without scratches, without problems.
This soliflore is not waterproof. Dried flowers only.
The small piece at the mouthpiece is made of Bioccell cellulose acetate, which is over 90% biodegradable. (Please note that the color of the acetate may change depending on available stock, non-contractual photo)
The mouthpiece is very fine.
It is designed and manufactured in Marseille.
